Restorations
The conservation and restoration of public collections are among the fundamental missions of a museum labeled as a Musée de France. The Museum of Corsica conserves ethnographic, painting and graphic art collections in its exhibition rooms and storerooms, completed by a heritage library. In order to ensure the durability of these very diverse collections, the museum implements a global approach to conservation-restoration, divided into several closely related stages: preventive conservation, curative conservation and finally restoration. Within the framework of its policy of temporary exhibitions, the Museum of Corsica restores each year works that are part of its collections or that have been entrusted to it on loan by other institutions or by private individuals.
