Collection Santini

The library collection of General Santini consists of more than 3,000 works covering a wide chronology from the 16th century to the last years of the 20th century. 

Active member and President of many learned societies, he was as passionate about archaeology, economy, tourism, medicine as he was about the history of Corsica and particularly its military history for which he wrote many articles and constituted an important archive. 

The museum of Corsica acquired this collection in 1997 and if the library is not open to the public, the works are regularly presented during temporary exhibitions. The archives have been deposited in the Archives of Corsica so that they can be consulted there.
