A former trader, Gilles Vernet worked in the 1990s in the largest international banks. Living at a frenetic pace, he left finance in 2001 and embarked on a career as a teacher.

Long passionate about the question of time and the exponential development of modernity, he shares his questions with his students. Stunned by the accuracy of their reflections, he decides to film this multicultural class, a symbol of the Republican school, which delivers an unexpectedly optimistic image.
